What to watch when LOST isn’t on
Now that we have had a brief run of LOST and are faced with a month off before the finish, I was faced with the realization that - “Crap, there is nothing else on!!!” Not so though - some of my favorites are back and will pacify me until I find out more about the “Oceanic 6″. If you are in the same boat - try one of these out:
Gene Simmons: Family Jewels (Tuesday @ 10 Est, A&E)
Normally I’m not a huge fan of reality shows based on families, but this one is so different than what I thought it would be. Take a gigantic rock star who paints his face, pair him up with a Playboy playmate in Shannon Tweed (they aren’t married but have been together for 23 years), add in 2 kids and what would you expect? Not a well balanced, even tempered, and hilariously funny family that is for sure.
Rob & Big (Tuesday @ 10:30 EST on MTV)
I’m sure everyone has someone they know (or are related to) that does goofy, nutty things just for the fun of it. This show is a showcase for such. Rob & Big feature Rob Dyrdek and Christopher “Big Black” Boykin, and their odd adventures in life. Rob is a professional skateboarder, and Big started as his security guy, but the two became best friends and now share a house in Hollywood. Rather than the in-your-face obnoxiousness of Jackass, this features a more laid back, “what shall we do today” kind of attitude that will leave you laughing and shaking your head. Give it a try!! Battlestar Galactica (Starts April 4th @ 10 EST on SciFi)
Okay - if you haven’t gotten on board with this by now you may be a little late, or there is still a little time to get some disks and check out the first 3 seasons. Or, better yet - if you only have 8 minutes, you can watch this. At any rate - looking forward to the final episodes and even to the prequel next year “Caprica”.
Other than that - there is always the NCAA Championships starting tomorrow, American Idol, or some other show, but these are my favorites and may keep you from going insane.

I dunno why you think that. I mean, it’s not like they’ve helped keep you from going insane.
